SUMMARY:

The extended school year program is seeking ABA Therapists!

This position is accountable for providing assistance based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to the classroom teacher, or other certified personnel in the delivery of quality education, recreation, classroom organization and maintenance, record keeping and school-community relations by means of maturity, sound reasoning and conferences with assigned teacher, and/or other certified personnel with rules and regulations of the Hudson Public Schools.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various type of work that may be performed. QUALIFICATIONS:          

  1. Preferably an Associate degree, or 48 undergraduate college credits
  2. Preferably experience with working with students with autism spectrum disorders and/or applied behavior analysis
  3. Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints

WORK YEAR: Extended School Year Schedule:

 

July 1 - summer

 

ABA therapists work 4 days a week, between 3 - 5 hours daily, for 5 - 6 weeks based on the program assigned. 

 

 

Pay: 

 

Internal Staff = current pay rate

New staff = $21.50/hour

 

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
